Shops and restaurants can't close the doors for a day to deal with waste. We work around your trading hours: early in the morning, after closing, or on a Sunday. Our crew clears the space quickly and leaves it swept.
What we clear
- shelving, gondolas, display units, counters and mannequins;
- damaged, out-of-date or unsold stock (not food);
- tables, chairs, banquettes and bar furniture;
- old signage, lighting and small electricals;
- cardboard, packaging and pallets that have built up in the stockroom;
- refit waste when you are changing the layout or handing back the unit.
Restaurant waste: what we can and cannot take
We take the general and bulky waste from restaurants, cafés and takeaways: old furniture, kitchen units and fittings, refit waste, cardboard and dry waste. We don't collect food waste, cooking oil or grease. Those need a specialist collector. In England, businesses with ten or more employees must now separate food waste for collection, and smaller ones will follow. See our guide to restaurant waste management.
Regular collections for shops
If cardboard and packaging pile up every week, a scheduled van collection may suit you better than a bin you have no room for. We come on set days, take it all and leave a note. See commercial waste collection.
Unit handbacks
When a lease ends, we clear everything left in the unit so it can be handed back empty. If shopfitters are stripping out the unit, we can take their waste too.
Questions about shop and restaurant clearance
Can you clear before we open?
Yes. Early starts, late finishes and Sunday work can be arranged so customers never see the crew.
Do you take commercial kitchen equipment?
We take kitchen units, stainless tables, shelving and small appliances. Large gas or refrigeration equipment must be safely disconnected by an engineer first, and fridges and freezers need special treatment, so tell us what you have when you ask for a quote.
Do you collect food waste or cooking oil?
No. Food waste and used cooking oil need specialist collectors. We clear the general, bulky and refit waste.
